My Take on Xplore Tech and Why I Give It a Thumbs Up

Nothing is sparkling white or absolutely black in life – it’s always a mix of the two. The same thing applies for the companies you work with – they all have a good side and a bad one.  What you  need  to  see  is how much you have been benefitted by the company.  For example – I am quite satisfied with my company, Xplore Tech Services Pvt. Ltd. .  But does it mean that I never faced a single problem here? No!

Let’s  face  it. You will have problems in every working  environment. During the first few weeks of my employment with Xplore Tech,  I got pretty irritated with its policies.  They barred us from going out of office during our night shifts,  and also they got my name wrong in my appointment letter. But once they corrected the mistake in the appointment  letter within 2 days, I felt that my disappointments are subsiding.  Our manager explained to us in a meeting that while they are barring us from  going out,  they have nothing against us. On the  contrary,  it’s for our own safety,  especially for the female employees (just before the notice came, the infamous Park Street rape occurred a few building away from our office). Hearing this,  I thought,  my company is not that bad after all… and  till date I stick  to that belief.

Xplore Tech is one of the oldest  BPOs in Kolkata.  It  has seen lots of ups and downs.  At some point of time, they had to chuck out a lot of people due to shortage of work. But the company  made it a point to bring back most of them once the new  processes were set up. Very few companies do that.

There is another good thing about the work culture of Xplore Tech. here no one stops you from applying your thoughts and  ideas to work.  If you have an idea, discuss it with your boss and  he will encourage you to take the risk.  If  you succeed,  you will get the due credit for it as well.  Backbiting  and bitching are  not part of Xplore Tech work culture.  They simply want us to enjoy our work and do it seriously. Is that too much a thing to ask for.

Some of my colleagues  may have other  opinions  about  my point of view and may call me biased.  But I will speak to you freely about what I feel. Xplore Tech work culture taught me that.
